Usually the duration of any treatment depends on the following; the method of fumigation or pest control, the area of infestation, the target pest, setting of premises i.e. for hard to reach areas like roof ceilings take more time compared to easily accessible areas For any pest control activity, a fumigation schedule is designed by technical team and it clearly shows the complete vector control programs and its deadlines.
Every vector has different signs that show its infestation: For bedbugs; they leave black spots on furniture, blood stains on beddings while for rodents; they leave behind marks of their tails and legs, they are also known for their droppings in the habitats, making noise and scratches in the ceilings.
The fumigator is required to post a re-entry notice on the property when the structure is judged safe for occupancy. The notice states the building is safe for re-entry, and gives the date and time the building was released, the name of the structural pest control company issuing the notice, and its license and phone numbers.
If, within 24 hours after application, you experience headaches, dizziness, nausea, watery eyes, coughing, nose or throat irritation, shortness of breath, double vision, unusual drowsiness, weakness, or tremors, leave the fumigated structure and immediately contact your doctor, poison control center, the structural pest control company
The most effective and less costly remedy is proper hygiene and proper disposal of waste; this prevents pests like; cockroaches, rodents, snakes etc. Proper housekeeping rules bring scarcity of food and water making the home less habitable by the pests.

During fumigation both pet and human food should be kept away. Utensils should be washed very well, and cabin liners should be replaced with new ones, the fumigated house should not be occupied for 3 hours until the fumigants dry or as specified by the professional fumigant applicator.
